Organising and hosting events is something that I’ve done for a long time. At uni I created, organised and ran STEM workshops and events for young people. Fast forward a few years, I founded the Reading Sci-Fi & Fantasy Fanatics meetup group and I’ve hosted hundreds of people and events to date.
While coordinating and organising comes easy to me, I really shone when it came to planning my wedding of 300 guests. I enjoyed the challenge and the inevitable logistical jigsawing. I put together an event that people still talk about today and the compliments have gone as far as friends using my wedding as inspiration and basing decisions on what I did!
Working in the corporate world as an engineer with public relations experience has given me the skills needed to effectively communicate and we all know how important communication is when planning and coordinating anything. I’m a very approachable and easy-going person and my perfectionism will come in handy for all the intricacies that event planning dictates.
But my aim at the end of the day is to bring your dreams and ideas to fruition and give you the peace of mind to properly enjoy your day.

Together we will sit down and go over your requirements. We'll look at and shortlist potential dates, venues, vendors, decor, garments, etc. A plan, guest list and budget will be put together.
Once ideas have been decided on, we will enquire with and book vendors for your chosen date and put down deposits. In the meantime, items and decor will be purchased. Invitations will be sent out.
A few months before your event, logistics will be confirmed, including guests, travel, accommodation and any last minute additions. We'll get confirmation from all vendors and have a pre-event meeting with the venue.
To finalise your event, we will go over everything to make sure you are happy with every single detail. We'll confirm that everyone knows what's happening and what they're doing.
This is the part where you leave it to me to execute everything we spent the last few months putting together. All you have to do is turn up and have a good time.
After you've settled down from the excitement of the day, we will schedule a time a few weeks after to go over how you felt the event went and you can give me any necessary feedback.
